Is she white or black? (or "other"?)
Because I think black locks are beginning to get more slack.
She's black. Which actually gives her more leeway on the tattoos, too, I think -- they are less visible because there's less contrast.
And happy birthday!
Charlie Sheen believes the US carried out the 9/11 attacks.
Froot Loop.
As a callback apparently he's also against vaccinations because they make you ill and let the government track you.
“There’s no horrible accident? How are they going to make it funny?”
Scola, that link is GENIUS.

True, true... but doesn't darker skin make it tougher to zap them off?
I've seen Black lawyers with short locks. I've never see tattoos on any of them at work.

A guy who's very publically smoked and fucked everything you could possibly smoke and/or fuck and he's worried about the

making him sick and watching him?
Ten years from now, she could be arguing before the Supreme Court.
But ten years from now, would anyone still raise an eyebrow at a wrist tat?
This is still my favorite dirigible-inspired joke.
Mine is what's the difference between Rush Limbaugh and the Hindenburg?

But the Huge Manitee is pretty damn funny.
I was up between 12:30 and 4 last night so I'm sharing the gronk this morning.
She pointed out that the people who wouldn't hire her for that probably wouldn't hire her for her locks, either. Fair point?
I think it matters what the tattoo looks like. Is it a design that will raise questions in someone's mind and what's the likelihood of it being interpreted incorrectly?
We had coffee and bagels this morning to welcome the new graduate student worker - I feel much better about this morning, now. (Our graduate student workers get a good deal here, for anyone thinking of library school - free tuition, about 20K in salary, and benefits.)
But ten years from now, would anyone still raise an eyebrow at a wrist tat?
I think so. The office seems to move very slowly. I wouldn't interview in dreads in LA. (eta: I wouldn't even interview with braids outside of major cities and black areas/companies) In NY in the creative field, perhaps.
The difference between locks and a tattoo--the locks can be gone in half an hour with scissors and a pair of clippers. The tattoo is harder to get rid of.
