Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Slave Leia, Black Canary, and a lot of girls wearing underwear as outerwear. My recurring comment is that I'm too tired to summon up a sense of feminist outrage.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I'm happy to report the sloe gin fizz fulfilled all expectations, but even better was the oxtail red flannel hash (I didn't even regret passing up the biscuits with sausage gravy and that's saying something).

The day was glorious, although the Golden Gate had a bit too much fog.

Thankfully, there was no underwear as outerwear.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hiya peoples! At the airport. I am so ready to be going home. Cannot even tell you how ready.

Was screened by scary full body radio xray thingy. Exciting. Must remember to check for superpowers.

The SO is driving, still, left on Friday. I'll meet him in Albuquerque and hit the last leg together. He's in a nasty lightning storm, hope all is well.

Hope I make my short Denver connection.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Interesting news about Castle.

Now I hear that there is to be a highly unusual, yet quite funny tie-in to the show. ‘Richard Castle’ (Nathan Fillion’s character) is to be releasing the novel, Heat Wave, that he was penning on the show, which will be starring Nikki Heat, the character based on Kate Beckett (as played by Stana Katic)

I'm just thankful that only the guys who can pull off a 300 outfit at cons seem inclined to try.

OY. Got an email from a friend -- that had a video that was a promo for a tea party. I should not have watched it.

first of all it started with the references to the boston tea party and the revolutionary war -- and then there were tons of picture of various military personnel. I know she know how the military is paid. Annoying

I bet you had the best haircut.

Did you have fun? did you find that some people changed radically and some ( sadly) hadn't changed at all?

I did have fun. My sister and I basically planned the entire thing and it worked out great. We had a fantastic turnout and people seemed to have a good time. The venue was an outdoor bar. The weather was good, the food was good and people stayed well past midnight (it started at 6 pm). The golf scramble and family picnic were also well attended.

We set up a photo slide show of old pictures people sent in and that got a lot of laughs.

Hec, there are a few hair stylists that I went to high school with that had some KICK ASS cuts. You'd have loved them. Sharp, modern, stacked bobs that showed some sexy napes. Lots of great color, too.

I'm so glad we got a good friend of ours to attend with her girl friend. She panicked a few months ago and was worried about what people would think but they came and we had a fabulous time hanging out with them.
