So far, I've seen the swine-flu-thing at PAX referred to as paxpox and hamthrax (I'm not sure, but I think it's HAMSTER anthrax...but these are Wizards of the Coast folk, so your guess is as good as mine).
I like hamthrax. It could be cute, or yummy!
but don't worry unduly about something that's not very severe, even if much talked about
according to my sister the internist, the main concern with swine flu is that in most cases it has presented with cold-like symptoms rather than flu-like, but there are still some who will develop the very severe, life-threatening symptoms. So her advice is treat colds like they might be the flu and stay home if sick.
Which brings me to my current connundrum. Son developed a fever yesterday. Today I have a bit of a sore throat. Bother.
If I'd left work earlier, I would have run into the Black Eyed Peas in the hallway.

You could've complimented her lady lumps. Or possibly asked if she's considered a Depends endorsement deal.
We had Cedric the Entertainer at the office today. Did not get to go down and meet him because I had a thing to finish if I wanted to get home in time to take a nap before Dandy Warhols (a nap which I am not currently taking, BTW)
Hamthrax works for me as term.
So. I might've swam 900m tonight. In 100m sets bc I still have to catch my breath after, but still! The breaks I had to take between got progressively shorter as I kept thinking
just one more set...
Yay! It's coming back!
Dag, sara.
In slothful news, I got the most awesome thing at the liquor store the other day: passionfruit vodka! Man, parcha is my favorite fruit ever. This stuff is excellent in lemonade, and I bet will be even better just in soda water.
Jilli, Abby has a new nightshirt and according to her, "I think Miss Jilli would really like it!"
Barb, tell Miss Abby that she is absolutely right. That is a very cute nightshirt!
ION, I think I am finally done taking photos of everything for the giant closet-culling sale that I'm going to have on LJ in a few days. That was ... a lot of stuff. Now to upload photos and finish writing the descriptions.
Can you come do my closets now? I've got a ton of stuff that's too big. Of course, once it's done, means I have to go shopping, which really isn't practical on my budget right now.
