No, no, totally possible. He spent a little while at the first Stargate panel talking about how good it was to be back in the South. And "Can I get an amen from the Southerners in the audience?"

I bet he was just happy to be somewhere he could get great biscuits. I remember him saying how he couldn't get Crisco in Australia and that you needed Crisco for biscuits.
*love*
Totally hijacking the thread: there was a confirmed case of swine flu at PAX this last weekend.
I didn't go to the SHOW, but Jilli and I went to a PARTY Saturday night.
And 6 of my co-workers went (as in: on my team, not in this comapny; more like 50 people went), and 2 of them are out sick.
Joy.
Eh, TBH, there's a case of swine flu in every decent-sized gathering right now. It's a stay-home-for-two-days kind of illness, in spite of all the news attention it gets.
(in other words, do be careful, wash hands frequently, stay home if you do get sick -- but don't worry unduly about something that's not very severe, even if much talked about.)
SH and Jilli, watch out for that swine flu!! Here's hoping you don't come down with it.
IcompletelyON, see Sen. Al Franken draw a map of the US freehand! (Love the music and speeded-up tempo.)
Yeah, I'm not concerned for myself - or for Jilli, we're healthy. It's just the REACTION is startling. I have friends who have immediately gone to the hospital upon hearing about this.
I have emphysema, and get bronchitis yearly, and pneumonia every couple years. The flu does *not* concern me. These people need to CALM DOWN.
Timelies all!
Am envious of shrift and Dana. (though DragonCon is waaay too big for my comfort level.)

I heard a rumor that there were 75,000 people there this year.
And I'm off to the optometrist.
DH had a boss once who, if you drew a single state on a piece of paper could fill in the entire United States from that one state. I'll have to show him the Franken video. He'll be impressed.

That's fun to watch, and impressive. I'd never be able to keep the proportions right.
