Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Is it me, or did the production value on Electric Company used to be higher? I remember it being a lot of bright colors and puppets.

although I enjoyed the song, I thought that the blocking was lame.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

courtesy of the NEW Electric Co., which is really enjoyable and I am so glad mac is watching.

I am glad to hear that!

Sophia, your show sounds like a killer.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I hope that commute time isn't going to be a regular thing, ChiKat.

On a good day, it's 50 minutes. I started a new job this school year, but I'm not certain I'm going to stay in it more than a year, so I didn't want to move closer thinking I may have to move again next summer. So, I'm going to have to suck it up for awhile. If they'd finish the construction when they say (supposedly Nov/Dec), it ought to be okay. Otherwise, when snow comes?? Yikes.

I went through a fear-of-dying phase when I was six or seven.

Me, too. Huh. Wonder if that's the age the concept of mortality connects?

hip deep in pie

So one of my friends had a stroke on the weekend. I am totally in shock. She's only 42, and her blood pressure is healthy--I have been envious of her ability to eat lots of cheese and maintain a 119/70 BP. I don't know what's going on. The good news is that she's 90% recovered already. The bad news is she's off all week for a barrage of tests.

ETA: This is Christine for the few Buffistas that met her.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Oh Sue! Give her my best.

A dear friend of mine, similarly healthy, had one at 41. His recovery has been very very good. Please drop me a note if there is anything you want me to ask him or if Christine could use a hand with something -- I don't live that far away.
