“Not dead yet!”

SH, you might appreciate/love this. A friend of mine, this weekend at Dragon Con, Tweeting a message while just beyond her, looking oh, so cool, none other than Mr. Malcolm McDowell.

oh, so cool, none other than Mr. Malcolm McDowell.

I have no idea what would happen were I to cross paths with him.

Fanboy? I hope not - I made enough of a fool of myself SINGING to Mira Furlan.

Tacklesnog him? I'm afraid he'd morph into Little Alex and I would end up woven into a macrame basket of my own entrails.

I think I'd have to cooly nod at him, as if passing my own future self from a Star Trek episode, and just keep walking on - then perhaps collapse into a puddle of gleeful goo.

Anyone else having trouble with Facebook? I've logged in a few times today, and I've gotten this message often

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Facebook has been erratic for me today. I cleared my cache and I STILL get a five-hour-old home page headed up by a chick from High School who's updates I've blocked about half the time when I hit refresh.

Because books.

Vortex, I haven't gotten that message, but I have logged in and found posts that were there before gone, and people who are supposed to be hidden visible in my feed, and all kinds of wackiness.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The home page has been all kinds of wacky since sometime last night.

I can't get any apps to work, it's all "cookies are bad! BAD COOKIES!" (I'm roughly paraphrasing), and then a note that there have been NINETY-SIX updates since I last checked (10 minutes ago; unlikely, even with my chatty friends).

It's borked. I will try to ignore it today. TRY.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am so glad I was able to check b.org today and see beautiful pictures of Nilly in her wedding dress. It makes me all sniffly in a happy way. Nilly's getting married!

Other things I learned today on b.org: Obama's speech is tomorrow so Franny'll watch it from home, although knowing her principal they'll probably show it at school on Weds as well.

Also? Loved the photos of Franny and Noah, Kat. Yay! I need to see you guys WAY more often.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Nilly is going to look more beautiful than ever

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those are marvellous pictures. The big day is going to be beautiful.

In ongoing tennis news, I think that Melanie Oudin has used up all the American mojo, and that's why there are no US men in the quarters for the first time ever. It's all her fault. I'm irritated that I switched away from the Federer match and didn't make it back in time. But the Verdasco/Isner one was quite fun.
