Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

While shouting, "Respect the cock!"

You know, I'm so simultaneously BTVS-oriented and also full of bitter loathing for Magnolia that for a long moment, reading your post, I thought, "Wait -- it's 'respect the cruller,' isn't it?"

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Steph, I have good news and bad news.

Good news: I also went there.

Bad news: I love Magnolia.

Coding and Sleeping

the F-5 seems to be the most widely used stand-in for Russian fighters.

It seems to be the popular choice. There was one airplane movie I saw that was seemed kinda bizarre because they were fighting aircraft that were supposed to be from some Arab country, but they were distinctively IDF Kfirs. I mean they are closely related to Mirage IIIs which are operated by several Arab nations, but the canards marked them as Kfirs and . . .

I'm letting my aircraft geekitude show a little too clearly I think.

Edited because I made it sound like Kfirs were operated by several Arab nations and I meant Mirage IIIs.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh. Teppy, I was hesitant even making that reference, knowing your hatred of Magnolia....

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

This weekend?

Tonight is the FSGW open sing (topic: mystery, magic and mumbo jumbo)

Tomorrow night we see Jimmy Buffet at Nissan Pavilion

Sunday night we take G's dad out to dinner for his birthday.

Otherwise, watch stuff on the Tivo and DVD.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This weekend: um, not much. Read, clean my apartment, bake challah, possibly bake other bread, do laundry.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I want to make hot and sour soup (after having some to help me get over the ick this week) but that will mean a trip to Chinatown so it may be more than I can manage this weekend.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm pretty sure I have enough love for Magnolia to cancel out the hatiest of Teppy's hate.

Although, does that mean that on average we are both completely indifferent to it?
