I need some major traveling. My last big trip was about 10 years ago, to Germany and Austria and *sob* only a day and a half in Prague. I'd love to see more of Prague, which is where my great grandparents were from. I haven't seen Paris or Rome. I've been to the UK many times, but I'd love to be drinking a glass of bitter at the Museum Pub while taking a break from the British Museum. It has the bog man and the Rosetta Stone, plus a long carved inscription about how Lord Elgin stole the marbles in order to save them.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Ahhh, lovely. That's where I had my first Pimms!

Long day, but started my ANT/Twitter experiment. If you wanna help me, do whatever it is you're doing there: [link]
Chubby Hubby is temporarily Hubby Hubby.
Oh, man! We were just there: [link] I would have happily gotten a big bowl of Hubby Hubby.
Msbelle, that ad's just on the cusp of being unbelievably upsetting... and yet quite effective in its message. On the whole, I'd say that even 8 years isn't long enough to make it not hurt.
I just do not get the point. yes, a natural disaster killed more people than the act of terrorism. AND? IS the WWF funding some sort of Tsunami stopping panda technology?!?! They are not a relief organization - it makes no sense and it just offensive. Did a whole slew of Americans get real vocal about the Tsunami not counting? It's just offensive to get attention.
...and I just spend a long lunch catching up with a friend, talking travel and my recent ones and...funny.
And now I miss Kathmandu. And Barcelona. Hmph.
In the good news department, I had an extremely complimentary state-of-the-union meeting yesterday with the company owner and one of my other superiors, and was told that next month the bulk of my pay cut will be repealed.
Yay pay cut partial repealage! Or something!
