I'm still in a bad mood. I feel fragile/brittle, if that makes sense. But we have a mini-crisis at a client's office, which is actually helping me by keeping my mind off things....
IOFireN, I think Buffy said it best when she said, "Fire bad...." Did you hear the story about the two people who tried to ride the fire out in their hot-tub? They were critically burned.
Does it feel good to have given notice Jesse?
It does! I don't know that I would be looking for a new job in this economy without the external factors, but having it in the open, at least, is a huge relief.

People, quit with the shocking news. Scola has turned into Keanu.
Scola has turned into Keanu.
I was hearing it as more Crush from Finding Nemo. Which... very Keanu.
Okay, never mind. Carry on.
Congrats, Jesse! That's super exciting! I hope your job search goes smoothly.
This is my last week of summer vacation and I'm trying to suck all the marrow of joy out of my time off. I'm hampered by the fact that Noah's daycare is closed, so basic things, like yoga class or having to work in my classroom, are more complicated.
And I have a speeding ticket to pay. harumph.
Last night proved that the days of your kid having a tummy ache, waking you up in the middle of the night and then stealing your bed are not over.
GRONK.
Was I smart enough to crash on one of the other two beds in the house? No. At least my couch is comfy.
OK, less "quit" than "gave two months' notice." I'm moving to Boston to be closer to my family. I'm hoping to get a new job before that!
Congrats on the moving the plan along!!!
I've had the first day of school postponed twice due to hurricanes. Once in like eighth grade and once in grad school.
