Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Thank you! It just sucks that I'm scared to do anything. I feel like each thing I attempt just leads to further problems. I'm pretty good at dealing with stress, but now I'm just so tired that things like vacuuming seem like monumental tasks, even though I know they are not. Though it was 104 on Saturday and I do not have central air, so doing anything is slightly more monumental than normal.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ack!

Oh, Alibelle. {{hugs}} I hate it when the universe is out to get you. I wish I could buy you a drink and pat your shiny hair.

ETA: And tommyrot, I'm so sorry that things are sucking right now. Once I'm back from DragonCon, maybe we could have a Chicagoista meet-up? I totally would buy you some foods.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

{{Alibelle}} What an awful week! Hiding sounds like a reasonable reaction.

My niece is going to Dragoncon for the first time. She's running a booth or something for a band called Bella Morte. She may be a zombie. I hope she enjoys it; she generally doesn't like crowds any more than I do, unless she's on stage.

Oh hey! I think I have some music by them! I know I've heard good things about them.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ooh, that would be awesome!

Because books.

Moving is so tough, tommy. I hope you settle in quickly.

Why is the L.A. fire referred to as the "station" fire? Does this have something to do with where it originated? I am completely clueless about L.A. geography, so.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Amy, because it started by one of the national forest ranger stations, or so I'm told.

We lost power this morning (lots of the power lines run through the area that is on fire). But it might be something else as there was a giant popping noise.

We're dogsitting K's friend's dog who lives up there.

And two of the school districts up there are closed today even though today was supposed to be opening day.
