I've been watching Norwegian detective movies, Korean TV dramas, cooking, doing laundry, doing dishes, sorting paperwork, paying bills, attending online meetings, and writing fic.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm watching Bridget Jones's Diary for about the fifty gazillionth time and missing my husband terribly.
All those things sound awesome, except the fires and the okcupid.
I sent your VVC discs. And now I'm writing Sports Night fic.
I got them! Thanks. AWESOME on the fic.
I've been writing and checking out the trainwreck that is the OK Cupid dating message boards.
Do I need to turn off the internets?
Nah, I need it to get the bat through the Chunnel. But you could go get lattes if you want to be extra helpful!
Hah. Some of us have to go to work tomorrow, missy.
I just read that two firefighters have died. My PBS station had a crawl that service might go out because of the fire.
I need a hug. I would like to know what precisely I have done to the universe that is causing it to punish me so severely? Since last Sunday, I have:
- Been in a car accident (I am perfectly healthy, just inconvenienced. I avoided a squirrel and ended up denting a wheel on a curb. Stupid.)
- Been accused of insurance fraud
- Talked my way through endless bureacracy having to do with AAA and releasing the record of my tow truck call to my insurance company. Surprisingly more complicated than you'd expect.
- Received the final Gardasil shot - arm still sore-ish three days later
- Been accused of health insurance fraud, and threatened to be held accountable for the price of said shots (Can we please just have universal health care already?)
- Finally got my car back after clearing up insurance problem. $2,040.43 worth of damage later.
- Learned that I would still need to take the car to a machinist to fix the frame so that the alignment could be corrected. Also need to contact dealer to get radio out of safe mode. Should also probably complain to Pep Boys that one year old battery died while car was in the shop. Also need to find out why check engine light is on. Also also need to figure out why dashboard no longer lights up when lights are turned on because that problem lends to scary driving experience.
- Received a speeding ticket (Going 50 in a 35 on a clear, straight empty road at 10:30 at night in a business district after entrance to freeway had been closed. I didn't realize I was going that fast, but since I was itchy from a friend's dog and in desperate need of a bathroom, it's totally possible. However, no people or property were endangered at any point, and I will be attempting to fight said ticket. Since that is apparently the violation I am accused of.)
- Was yelled at at work due to lack of early arrival due to car mishaps.
- Dealt with three computer crashes, one power source crash, and one scheduling mishap. Luckily, boss's boss was super nice about it, though I felt terrible.
- Split jeans' inseam. Of course.
- Finally had weekend to deal with chores, and suffered from massive migraine for two days.
I am scared to leave my house. Also, I'm exhausted. I was at work until 7:00 pm on Friday, and likely won't be home any earlier on Monday, and I still have so very many things to do that did not get done during the massive migraine weekend. Also, I'm fighting off a sore throat and stuffy nose, but I'm hoping that's due to smoke inhalation and not sickness, since I will be leaving for a much-needed vacation late Tuesday/super early Wednesday. And it will be a total bummer to fly with a head cold.
{{{Alibelle}}} I hate when it all comes at you at once.
Thank you! It just sucks that I'm scared to do anything. I feel like each thing I attempt just leads to further problems. I'm pretty good at dealing with stress, but now I'm just so tired that things like vacuuming seem like monumental tasks, even though I know they are not. Though it was 104 on Saturday and I do not have central air, so doing anything is slightly more monumental than normal.
