I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I hate that you have to go into the ER at all.

Thanks. Sing it sister.

I just need to make sure I don't have to go the week my father's here, so I'm saving up my Imitrex for then. And hopefully getting back on the drug regimen will work quickly. But if the dilaudid can knock this out I might get three or four totally clear days, which would rock.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Anyone want a cute bear-robot to pick them up and carry them around?

Besides Pete Wentz?

I'm alone in the house tonight and this weekend, I'm wondering if I'm going to accidentally freak myself out.

I would suggest moar Varg Veum movies, but I'm not convinced that they won't freak you out. Or me. Even if they're awesome.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

Sigh. Car drama continues. The jackass that was supposed to help me tow the car to the storage garage never contacted me, so I emailed him about 20 minutes ago (yes, 10:40pm the night before it was all supposed to happen).

Turns out his brilliant plan was for me to drive it as close as the battery would take me, then when the car died (ruining the $230 battery I JUST PAID FOR) chain it to the back of a pickup and - get this - have me steer and use brakes in the now-dead car while they tugged me the rest of the way.

Illegal (as in "go to jail for a misdemeanor" illegal) as well as VERY unsafe.

"But you wanted to save money, and renting a $50 dolly seemed pointless".

Jackass. Many plans for tomorrow were passed on because I foolishly believed this moron - not just my plans, but my friends Brian and Kaleb (whose garage I'm to be using) ALSO turned down several social events to help with this.

I'm totally over humans. I tolerate b.org because you're pixels on the screen. Perhaps I'll return to some form of pleasant mindset...

No. That's unlikely at this stage.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

StuntHusband - if I EVER promise to help you, I will follow through in whatever legal and safe way I can. However, I rarely make promises like that because I am lazy. However, I will not be lame out of laziness, because that would be , well, lame.

Headline which made me furious this morning: Liberal Theories led to the Destruction of the Education System (in the Hebrew version, this one's split into two articles: one about Sa'ar, the other about the Ethiopian kids.

The education system in Israel is in a bad, bad shape. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

Skipping (hopefully, by next week I'll have an all-new-all-functioning computer! Fingers crossed) because, according to flea "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Aug 30, 2003 7:37:26 am PDT today is Casper's birthday.

Happy birthday, you big beautiful girl! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year! And lots of wishes for your brother, your mom, and all your family, too.
