Wasn't there an early episode where the Dr. escapes from Daleks by taking the stairs?

Yayyy! They only wanted I to S for the Daley Center, so I don't have to go downtown!! That's a big relief, because the $30 for parking was going to be a bit tight, considering payday is Friday.

In their first adventure, they couldn't even leave their city. They needed to stay in contact with metal floors.
Ooh - sorta like bumper cars?
Timelies all!
I used the treadmill for the first time since we got back from vacation. Now I just need to get my lazy butt on it on a more regular basis...
The one time I did have jury duty at the Daley Center
I'm not the only one who read this as Dalek Center, right?
Nope.

I think Hizzoner (the Honorable Richard J. Daley) might have minded being associated with Daleks! He was more along the lines of the Big Bad from The Pirate Planet.
Also, the Thompson Center looks more like a Dalek than the Daley Center
... and the Daley Center has the giant Picasso sculpture to protect it from Daleks.
ION, this is interesting: I Want To Ride My ($1,400, Dutch-Style) Bicycle
(By the way, I specifically sought out bikes in a style Europeans refer to as "step-through," and we here in the States refer to as "women's." Step-through bikes are much easier to elegantly mount and dismount, they allow you to stand up in comfort when at a stoplight, and they eliminate all risk of brutally racking your testicles. The fact is, that crossbar on men's bikes doesn't serve much purpose if you're not a performance rider.)
Do men in the US ride bikes like this?
