Thanks for the birthday wishes, everybody! We went to Catalina for the day and then a fancy dinner.
There's the birthday girl! Sounds like a great day was had!
I can't believe it's taken this long for someone to release scent bottled like an MP3 player. At that size it definitely needs a screen.
Caught a bit of a Hoarders episode, and it made me feel very self-conscious about the mail I have yet to clear up. However my apartment *is* tidy enough for a roomba to vacuum, so I'm nowhere near these people. I may have some dodgy broccoli I need to trash next time I take out the garbage, but at least my fridge closes and things aren't leaking and comingling. Listening to the woman explain why she wanted to keep the tofu whose best by date was in 2007 was just distressing. Tying her up and throwing everything away doesn't fix everything, but the people helping her kept going outside to gag, it was so nasty. If she gets therapy she won't be evicted, apparently.

A co-worker of mine lived below a hoarder. She was discovered when my co-worker's ceiling cracked and started to cave in. What did she hoard? Her own poop. They carried over 2400 pounds of poop she'd saved in plastic bags. What did this woman do for a living? She was a nurse. The only consequences were that she had to pay for the ceiling. My co-worker had to move and sell the condo at quite a loss, but she just couldn't live there anymore.
Sunday morning and I'm at work. Here's hoping all the contractors and insurance adjusters of the world are having a lovely, lazy Sunday where they don't want to work.
That's so disturbing on so many levels, Sparky.
It's breezy and there's lots of rain, but I suspect Bill is going to be as lame as Vampire Bill
Skipping (my computer completely died on Thursday. Maybe now I'll be forced to find the time to get a new computer and stop relying on stolen moments from other people's computers), because, according to Kat "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Aug 24, 2003 3:58:47 pm PDT , today is Franny's sixth birthday.
Happy birthday, Franny! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year! And, of course, lots of wishes for your mom, your brother, and all your family!
god, so disturbing.
we are off to church in 30 minutes. I have been fighting off the crankies all morning - did not sleep well. cranky me is NOT helpful to our life right now, so I am Faking it like a big fat faker politician or beauty queen.
