I watched that Hoarders show -- the food hoarder was so far beyond 'denial' that it was painful.

(Yes, I know for a fact that many "best used by" dates err on the side of caution, so there's some wiggle room if you're, say, a month past on some items, but it's better to err on the side of caution WHEN SOMETHING IS TWO YEARS OUT OF DATE.)

Let me tell you, it's encouraging me to clean up some of my mild-by-comparison clutter, anyway.
