Our humidex is 38C/100F. Far too hot too outside battening the hatches for Bill. Who will likely move south of us, giving us tropical storm conditions. But this warm weather is worrying me a little.
I have no idea if my parents are at home, which is under a hurricane watch, or in Newfoundland, where they are expected to get a direct hit from Bill. I haven`t gotten any calls from my mother, so I suspect they are in Nfld.

Are any of you who are doing the mad cable negotiating have all three, internet phone and cable? Or just cable, or cable and internet? I've got all three, and they were not super helpful last time I tried to negotiate (when my year of intro deal was over, in November). They took it down a little, but not to the initial price, which was stupid.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.
I feel much better than I did, but I don't have enough brain power to do anything worthwhile that I need to be doing, such as writing any number of stories that are due soon, checking links on a site, updating a site, or anything useful around the house.
Instead, I am watching Jeremiah on Netflix Instant Watch and trying to figure out the best way to poach a nectarine without having to leave the house to buy anything.
