Nice! I am trying to find a non-dorky backpack for schlepping stuff back and forth to work. (Carrying things on one side or other messes up my back.) I am starting to believe it doesn't exist. I saw a woman with one a couple of weeks ago, but she got it a year ago at our equivalent to TJ Maxx.
I've got a pretty neat black-and-white houndstooth handbag with black tassel on one side and black on the bottom. Looks professional yet I wear it with jeans to the grocery store, too.
Yeah, it was kind of a blindside despite the fact that I've been going through old paperwork for days. Because it was in the box of cables that I was sorting for our free electronics recycling day next week. No, I have no idea why it was in that box.
But it's okay. I am so grateful that I was able to spend that time in the hospital with my grandma and mom, and there's no way it would have been possible if I hadn't already had the recording school scheduled and the time blocked out.
And I'm also okay because the SO came home briefly from the studio and gave me hugs and I'm about to get some homemade beef stew over egg noodles for dinner.
In other paperwork news, I just finished putting up all the house files, too. But my process was so much longer than yours, sarameg, that I bet I had a ton more papers. Not anymore, though.
And yeah, I remember just before your house purchase when you were all, OMG am I crazy for doing all this stuff at once? And here you are on the other side of it, building a whole new you and life! Awesomeness.

Still waiting to leave on vacation. We were planning to leave 2 hours ago. But the Boy-induced delay (he's JUST NOW packing, after composting, picking up dog poop, backing up his computer, etc.) gave me more time to clean more thoroughly for the housesitter.
The dogs are giving us these looks of oh-my-god-you-have-BETRAYED-us. Well, the coonhound is; the dalmatian is just giving us the look of I'm-pretty!-I'm-pretty!-therefore-PET-ME!!!
The cats are trying to figure out how to stow away in the suitcases.
