He's also the guest who's been on the Colbert Report the most (six visits so far!).

Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The man has gotten hate mail from children. It's awesome.
Going back to OMG last night, thanks Dana! I will get in touch indeed, and should be able to get together with her at some convenient place and time -- which makes for the happy, because that is one of my favorite all-time sweaters. (It is purple and silky and shiny.)
In other news, it is so hot and disgusting here that I overcame my nerves and lifted the AC unit into the LR window, while dead certain it would end up with it falling out onto the pavement. Desperation gave me the strength of ten... okay, maybe 3/4's the strength of a normal woman, but I got it in correctly, and now I sit in the cool breeze!
I'm so glad to be back in Wisconsin. Temperature is in the tolerable high seventies, with sunshine and a nice breeze. We're going to our last swim lessons this afternoon.
We had the first day of school today. Emaryn is going to a different school this year. Upper Elementary.
Weird & Fun Wedding Toppers
We had Wilow and Oz action figures. And, of course, all the words to the Hippo Dignity speech on the cake.
Speaking of science stuff, Rachel Maddow showed a neat clip of the Obamas at a lookout at the Grand Canyon, and Malia was being quizzed on the three forms of rock by the park ranger. She knew sedimentary, but was having problems remembering the others (paraphrasing the clip here):
Malia: It's formed from cooled lava...
Sasha: Lava rock!
Malia: No, it's something else.
Ranger: It begins with an "i"...
Malia: Igneous!!
Ranger: That's right! Now, what's the third?
Malia: Ummm...
Ranger: It's a hard one. Met-...Meta-...
Malia: Metamorphic!!
It was just too cute to hear, and nice to see that vacations are for reinforcing learning even for the First Kids. And, hey, science!

That is genius. It's gorgeous and genius.
Our CEO has invited us to attend "A Day of Hope and Inspiration" with featured speaker John O'Leary.
We are welcome to bring one guest, but there is this one caveat:
This program may be too intense for young children.
...What?? This is some hardcore fucking hope and inspiration.
