Charms, I think. (No, this isn't about my drug-story obsession) Poor Senator Ted.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
thay also have things called ring pops that sort of resemble pacifiers.
Timelies all!
My folks are here. In a little bit we will go meet G's dad and stepmom for dinner.
My house was purchased 20 years ago for $33K. Huh.
And OUCH, the other house on this street that I looked at, the foreclosure asking $140K? Was sold 2 years ago for $225K. And it needed a new roof and a lot of work. OUCH.
Sara, my neighborhood (Oakland, cA) has a couple of homes for sale (not foreclosures) in the $300's range that were bought three years ago for $700's. Bewildering, it is.
Even at the top of the bubble, I have no idea how that house sold for $225K 2 years ago. That's just...nuts. Nothing on this street should have gone for that much.
eta: I take that back. Some of the renov, I can see. And I do see those in the $200K range in 2007. But this place needed work.
It makes me weep to read about housing prices in other states. Sigh.
Speaking of housing prices, the place next door to us is for sale. I want to know the asking price, but I'm not sure where it'd be listed. I am also a bit afraid that someone will buy it and tear it down and I'll be living next door to a construction site for a year.
I don't suppose there are any localistas who are looking to buy?
Researching the Seattle housing market is like untangling a web. The idea of zero lot lines is still a new concept to me, so I have a hard time reconciling prices with the types of houses and trying to figure out the differences between neighborhoods and townships.
