Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

McCartney & Hall

F Gerard, C Brendon, M Stump

F Pete, C Gave, M Mikey

Gee and Patrick was tough I'll tel you what! I keep switching it. Love Gerard like whoah but Patrick as all that nice shiny "sanity"

The second one is sort of cheating since Alicia basically did just that.

I think Kat's spider has OCD.

And I'd NEVER use a screwdriver on a Rubic's Cube! You can just turn one corner out and pop it off with your thumbs.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I know there are a lot of spider phobes (look away Jilli) but we have a giant spider that has spun a web on our porch above the bushes just opposite the front door. I love that spider. I look for it every morning and it's there. But in the afternoon it's gone. Then it's back in the evening.

Maybe it's an orb spider? The nice spiders in our yard always do the same thing: weave a beautiful web in the night, take it down in the morning and find somewhere quiet to wait until dusk. And in the fall they get really BIG just in time for Halloween. On the other hand I have come to hate the icky widow spiders that also colonized the back yard. I consider them the usurpers of course as the orbs were there first.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, the good thing is Jen K. is in San Francisco with her cool boyfriend Matt.

And I took them (and Matilda) to Japantown which is near their apartment and showed them where the cool cheap housewares were.

And then I drove them back to my house and got into a dispute with somebody about a parking spot. Whatev.

Came in, fed them, drove them home and...guess what I've got a flat tire.

With a screw screwed directly into the front tire.

I guess it could have nothing to do with the raving idiot who thinks that because he was across the fucking street he had dibs on a parking spot. But the screw is right in the middle of the tire and flush with the tread. I don't know. Could have been a random screw yet Occam's Razor suggests not.

And I'm thinking, "Really, douchenozzle? For a parking spot you want me to have a blowout on the freeway with my two year old?"

Elapsed time for tire change, with mucho assistance from Matt: 13 minutes.

I think the neighbor is reroofing. Only explanation for the noise this morning. At least I was up before they got there?

Now want to heartily apologize for when my reroofing happened, even if I didn't own it at the time.

Time to meeting. How I wish I had a laptop.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

And I'm thinking, "Really, douchenozzle? For a parking spot you want me to have a blowout on the freeway with my two year old?"

Stab stab stabby stab!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

In other "get your rage on" news, the Senate pulled the end-of-life provision from the health bill: [link]

It's still in the House bill - not sure what that means in the scheme of things.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

night passed without incident.

heat treatment takes a few hours and wow does the room get warm, but I wore treated shoes to work today, ah peace of mind.

I want to do a ton of stuff in the house this weekend: treat in all places Pest Control did not, move some things to storage room, treat and bag 2-3 dry clean outfits, treat and bag 4-5 pairs of shoes, treat and bag all mac's back-to-school things.

I think the heat treatment of things might be doable and I can definately move shoe things to storage, but I still need a respirator to do dust treatment and I don't think I can swing getting one...unless I go at lunch today - that might just work.
