I know that there's a strategy for solving a Rubik's cube, but I've never actually sat down with one for long enough to figure it out, and I don't want to look it up on the internet because that feels like cheating.

Screwdriver, I tell you. Or be really evil and goo-be-gone! Now it all matches.
I got a solve-the-cube book when I was a kid. IIRC, there were a bunch of algorithms for stuff like how to swap two pieces that are currently on opposite sides in n moves. I got fairly quick, found it boring once I had the tricks, have forgotten every bit of it, and am much more inclined to just take the blasted thing apart these days.
Screwdriver, I tell you.
Yep. That's how I've always solved Rubik's cubes.
There's always another reason to like Jilli.
I used to know how to solve them. Then the Nephlet got one for Christmas and I was re-obsessed but pretty clueless. Um, not that I stole toys from the kid or anything.
I was more of a take the stickers off kind of person.
So, I practiced yoga today with ita's Colin's ex-girlfriend today. I was pretty gratified knowing I am (1) stronger than she is (2) more flexible than she is (3) have a more advanced practice than she does.
Yes. I know it's not the point at all. Yoga is not a competitive sport nor should it be. But when I am better than someone who is (1) semi-famous and (2) a sort-of friend's definite ex it's oddly gratifying.
I'm shallow. this is going to mess with my karma, isn't it?
Um, not that I stole toys from the kid or anything.
Uh. Huh. Sure.
In my teens I became a take the stickers off and don't put them back on person. Solid black cube: solved! But then the next year I became a dye my hair purple person, so.
Kat, you do have a competitive nature. It just is.
Thought about you a lot on the trip, b/c it was seeped in buddhism. Which I still can't wrap my head around, but interesting. Though disconcerting to be told the little old nuns at a nunnery asked about me. Still not sure what THAT was about.
