Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had a really nasty night of insomnia, and my father called me at 7 this morning after I'd finally reached a fitful doze. No, I haven't spoken to him since he decided to come visit me. At least he hung up and will call back. But it's not like I can get back to sleep. And I am wretched tired.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ugh ita, sorry about the sleep.

food has made me feel more human.

Just got the call that the heat treatment box is in. YAY! I'll go get it afterwork. This menas treating shoes, bags, purses, and dry clean only clothes. I'll also be able to treat previously used ziploc bags, so that should cut down on some spending. Oh and I can treat all of mac's back to school supplies then get them in plastic.

Compassionately intolerant

I saw that one this morning Kathy. Go, go Kitty! Except, that canister now needs to go into a locked cupboard, else those kitties become beach balls.

While I was married, I went away for an extended period, leaving my cats in my husband's care. I came home and neither of them had necks anymore. HUGE. Hubby said,"I only give them a quarter cup a day, like you said!" We go back into the kitchen and the 25lb bag is open, no the floor, with a cat shaped hole in the top. As I'm about to yell at him for obliviousness, a tail appears out of the hole. There she was, the orange one, head down, tunneling to China. Sigh.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I wonder what makes it "toast" rather than just toast.

most bread has eggs and/or milk in it, so they are probably indicating that it's vegan bread.

Yes and no. It technically means "I am Much", which is not proper grammar in english either.

Heartbreaking. I'm tempted to put mine up there.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Shir, here's their menu. [link] I've heard from several people who've gone there that they actually won't serve you if you don't order that way. If you say something like, "I'll have the empowered," the waiter will respond, "Do you mean you are empowered?" and this will continue until you say "I am empowered."

"I'll have the nachos or you aren't getting a tip."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

most bread has eggs and/or milk in it, so they are probably indicating that it's vegan bread.

Regular sandwich bread generally doesn't. Challah and brioche do. (Last time I was at the store trying to buy a loaf of whole wheat bread, I was checking the ingredients on all of them and rejecting anything with non-vegan ingredients or corn syrup, and there were way more corn syrup ones than non-vegan ones. I think that, of the ten or so brands that we looked at, we found two with milk, one with eggs, and about eight with corn syrup.) My guess is that the "toast" is some kind of raw cracker.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, Spare Cat could and would do that jar-opening much better, because she would unhesitatingly push it off the counter so that it broke open on the floor. None of this namby-pamby delicate lid opening for her!
