I am the fly who dreams of the spider

This migraine is going on a week and a half now, and now my tummy's upset. Too many painkillers? Food poisoning? Bleeding of the stomach?! ... My doctor's number is in one of these boxes or bags that I still haven't ... unpacked ... am dying ...

Poor Julie.

Thunderstorm is ON. I guess I shouldn't stand out on the end of my deck under the wires leading to my house? I'm not in the world of above ground lines, will be interesting to see how the power holds.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Did we evolve from aquatic apes? Elaine Morgan on TED.com

Elaine Morgan is a tenacious proponent of the aquatic ape hypothesis: the idea that humans evolved from primate ancestors who dwelt in watery habitats. Hear her spirited defense of the idea -- and her theory on why mainstream science doesn't take it seriously.

Pity me! Consistently waking up at 2 or three in the am. Wish the PM pain reliever would last more than four hours.

Oh fucking hell, I have a leak. I think it is the lousy door seal on the balcony door (there was water up there since it is raining ON the door and seems to be coming in under) but drips coming through the frame of the kitchen entry. Will call the roofer anyway to make sure that it isn't where the roofing meets the wall. Goddamnit. Not gathering water up on the balcony, that's good.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I just found out that the brother kitten of the kittens I brought to my mom's house for her Saturday tested Feline Leukemia Positive. Weirdly the mom did not test positive, but she is going in for retesting tomorrow. I do not want to tell my mom this. I also don't want my mom to have sick kitties, as they are currently puling her out of a deep, deep depression where all she thinks about is her property line (don't ask). I am just sick with worry.

Get another test. I say this just cause if only one is positive in a litter that is weird. There have got to be good resources out there.

I'm having a drink.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Bird, please.

My mother's haven't been tested and she is gong Friday. I think I may wait and see-- they are retesting the mom and the brother, and all the other kittens tomorrow, so I am trying to take a wait and see attitude before I tell her. No reason to get her upset if it is just a false positive.
