I once read a hilarious correction in the NYT about how many bras Ivana Trump buys in a year. She actually buys one dozen in each color, not twelve dozen in each color. So you know.

TMZ is reporting that Jay Leno will go back to the 11:30pm timeslot after the Olympics, which means that Conan is out of a job.
Booo!
So I went to the Whole Foods. I hate that place. In addition to the cat food (and they didn't have the flavor I usually get), I got some store-brand crackers and spicy cheddar cheese. So that was exciting.
The corrections were much fun.
I can't really see myself watching the Tonight Show with Leno or Conan because it isn't my thing, but I'm not sorry to see Conan go. I never saw him do the 11:30 thing, but I tuned in 3 times to see his later night show when he had a guest on that I was particularly fond of. All 3 times he knew absolutely nothing about the guest, hadn't seen the work, read the book, whatever. I never watched his show again.
I'm sure he is a talented fellow, but he really turned me off with his lack of preparation. At least when Jon Stewart hasn't read the book or seen the movie he will fess up to it. I hope Conan improved over time, but I never gave him another chance.
Man, I think Conan is so much funnier than Leno, although I'm not a super-regular watcher.
I also had some instant karma action: I found a $5 bill at the Whole Foods, and just shoved it in my pocket. So when I pulled my iPod out of that same pocket outside, the money went flying away in the wind. Easy come, easy go!
I get the impression Conan is more fun to hang out with than Jay, so I want him more employed. I've never found Jay funny. But the only interview shows I watch are Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton. I don't think I could keep up my interest for something almost every night of the week.
ita, did you hear the Ross is leaving the BBC?
Conan is best with guests when he can be funny. Jay had never been funny to me.
did you hear the Ross is leaving the BBC?
Oh, dear! Is this just-ending series his last? What's he up to next? Well, as long as Graham stays producing. Jonathan is good, but sometimes I skip some of his guests. Norton has a way of making everyone interesting, not least of all by talking to them all at the same time.
Oh Cash! I'm sorry to hear it was such tsuris, but I'm glad Liv is fine now, and the penny is out.
I find Jay Leno unwatchable, but clearly someone out there likes him.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday MM!
First con of the year for me is this weekend. Must go pack...
