If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Oh, THAT kind of portable dishwasher! I was picturing the kind that's about the size of a microwave.

I still don't think it would fit in our apartment, unfortunately. Our kitchen is biggish by NYC standards, but it's still pretty narrow.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Took Liv in for an X-ray this morning. The penny was right there, lodged in her esophagus. They did't have pediatric equipment there so we drove an hour in the snow to see a pediatric gastrointerologist. Who is at this minute using an endoscope to remove said penny.

Been a loong day.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

From the Awful Library Books blog, Partying…horses?

I love how it uses "smoking drugs and drinking" consistently as if it's one word.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Oy, Cash! But, at least it will be out of there.

Snowpocalypse report from Iowa:

Home today. I tried to drive to work, but had to hit the brakes while on the Interstate drive to the South side of town and my car didn't stop and fishtailed! Yikes!

I immediately got off, turned around and came home. I called in and they were okay with it.

It has been snowing steadily all day, though it just slowed way down. The temp is about 5º with a windchill below 0.

My sister got up and shoveled but you can't tell anymore!

After I called in I took a nap that wound up lasting 3 hours! Now, not feeling so great. I maybe coming down with a cold.

She's definitely learned her lesson! Just spoke to the doc. He gave me the penny. It didn't take long.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

He gave me the penny. It didn't take long.

You should frame it.

Ha! Glad it went okay. I think this beats flushing toys down the toilet, myself.

Jessica, cost issues would include: the plumbing (how close is it to your existing plumbing), the dishwasher itself (easily priced) and any required cabinetry/counter rearranging. I have handy friends who have done counter and cabinetry work themselves, though you may not want to, and for plumbing you probably want a Real Plumber.

It would probably be cheaper to pay your husband to wash the bottles.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Dear co-worker,

I understand that you're not as familiar with the work we've both been assigned as I am, and therefore I've taken on half your workload in addition to my own. I even understand that said unfamiliarity means you have many questions, which you must frequently interrupt me with while I'm doing your work. But is it too much to ask that you stop eating long enough to ask me those questions clearly rather than standing in my doorway, mumbling them around mouthfulls of food, and delaying me for twice as long?

Signed,

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Jessica, if you end up really looking into it, you might see if Build It Green has any dishwashers. I am sure they'd be cheaper than new. I wish I could give you mine and replace it with a half sized one like I want and then build in more cabinets, but I have no time or money for such a project before the move.
