Yay for Jesse's contract extension, and get-better-soons for all those who need them!
There are very few people at work today. We've got about 4-5 inches of snow already, and are predicted to get up to a foot or so before tomorrow afternoon, so I'm guessing even fewer people will be in tomorrow.
My drive in wasn't too bad, except for the SUV who decided he was immune to any road condition problems, got so close to my rear bumper that I could not see his headlights in my rearview mirror while I was going 25 mph, and then flew past me going 40 while everyone else was going 25, leaving a blizzard of snow flying off of his uncleared-off vehicle (his rear window was completely covered in snow) and blinding anyone directly behind him. Jerk.
Jerk.
You said he was an SUV driver in the snow, why did you need to be redundant here?
My commute to work wasn't too bad today - my bus left on time and was only 6 minutes late by the time it dropped me off. But odds are the buses will be totally fucked by the time I go home, so I may have to trudge through the snow to the train station (which normally takes 20 minutes) instead.
Yeah, I don't usually mind the commute to work near as much as the commute home on bad weather days.
we are only expecting an inch of snow. It's been really cold (for NYC), but we are so lucky to be dodging the snow.
We're supposed to get some light snow after midnight tonight. If the roads are bad, i can walk to work, but I'm driving if it's just cold.
Do you work for New Guy?
He's the project manager for the project I'm business analyst on. Since I have PM experience, I'm also his backup. I'm happy enough to take his place in meetings, etc, but actually scheduling them is borderline, and when it's for stuff he wants to talk about and can't be arsed to make? Plain irritating.
Had to go and get Chinese for lunch today, just so that I could have scallion pancakes.
he seems to be asking you to do his admin stuff, which pings me becuase the female PMs seem expected to do more of that here than the males.
