"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I'm putting off something noisy because the SO's still asleep. I have no idea why I was up early this morning. Well, actually, it was probably the cup of tea I had late last night. But I woke up having to use the bathroom and then I was cold so I rekindled the fire and now I'm wide awake. Came into the office and started piddling around. That's the downside of working at home. Sometimes you just wander in and start doing work. No boundaries or time limits. Might as well take the dog out and make breakfast at this point.

Although I dunno if I'm hungry. My parents always put a restaurant gift certificate in our Christmas stocking (even though said stocking doesn't physically exist these days). It has been a rough week coming off break so we decided to go ahead and blow it yesterday. It was our local steakhouse. The SO had prime rib and I had liver and onions with crab stuffed mushrooms as appetizer. It was seriously yum, but a lot of food.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

you might want to visit first to make sure you're not allergic to the entire state.

Right now I'm feeling like I am. Been stuffy ever since we got back from vacation. NO FUN. Today it is a combo of snot and headache (so far not back into migraine territory, but still ouchie).

I'm working from home today too, Nicole. I guess I should contact someone in the office and let them know.

Poor Nicole.

Poor Cash and Liv too.

And Suzi.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, sick. I am definitely glad to be working from home full-time at this point, because I've been feeling better as each day has gone on, but I wake up a mess of unable to breathe and sore throat from sleeping with my mouth open!

Because books.

I know what you mean, Jesse. It's so dry in our house, I wake up unable to breathe through my nose. I think we need a humidifier. Or at least a bowl of water on the vent.

Yeah, I should probably get some of that action going. I don't even have a radiator to put a thing of water on top!

Compared to every other day this year, I feel like I have some energy and maybe enough motivation to actually do things, but I would still give anything to be able to stay home today.

Yesterday started and ended with massive amounts of office politics and people not acting right, and I suspect today won't be better. Plus our evaluation/review cycle is starting, so today we get training about it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That reminds me, I need to bleed the radiators. Which is not all that much of a chore, really, but I have to find the key first....
