Jilli, what about these? You'd have to dye them, but you could experiment with fabric paint designs of skulls and bats and coffins and things, as inexpensive as these are. They only sell in dozens, but still not a bad price.

Jilli, my MiL has a large set of vintage gloves that were DH's grandmothers. MiL put them in Olivia's dress up things at her house but they are truly vintage--dating from the 40s and 50s--all high quality ladies gloves. One of them may even be actual kid gloves. There are at least four or five sets and I can send one or two pairs to you next time I get to Indiana.
I had no idea they were so prized these days. DH's grandmother had some petite little hands so there is no way in hell they'll fit mine.
