Jilli, my MiL has a large set of vintage gloves that were DH's grandmothers. MiL put them in Olivia's dress up things at her house but they are truly vintage--dating from the 40s and 50s--all high quality ladies gloves. One of them may even be actual kid gloves. There are at least four or five sets and I can send one or two pairs to you next time I get to Indiana.
I had no idea they were so prized these days. DH's grandmother had some petite little hands so there is no way in hell they'll fit mine.
Nora, if Tom can find out any background information on why they went with someone else -- I need all the feedback I can get.
Ooh, Cashmere, that would be wondeful! I promise not to cut the fingers off any gloves you send me.

No worries. We're going back to Indiana in February, so I'll be sure to bring them home with me and send them. They really are cool. They were well taken care of. Grandma was fastidious about her things. Some are elbow length, even.
I did post that story last night. Skimmers!!!
My OJ spilled this morning--I was distracted, I swear!
Man. We're supposed to get 7-9 inches of snow by Friday.
At least we're not penguins, because then we'd have to worry about being eaten by walruses as well....
