"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm skeptical about the sandwich I just had for lunch

If you got it from Tino's then you should be.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am at home waiting for Staples to deliver some bookcases. I want them NOW. I also never want to go to work again.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm afraid Tino may have been involved, although it was not purchased at his establishment.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I was so psyched that I had decided on Chinese for lunch, and then very disappointed by the actual lunch.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

then very disappointed by the actual lunch.

I hate when that happens! There should be a word for it.

This is extremely cool: Moray eels have a second set of jaws that shoot out, like in Alien.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Is there any polite way to tell your boss "You probably should have asked me before you sent that complaint to [partner here](eta: without PH asking for it), because [partner here] has had that complaint since Thursday night, is already working on it, and kind of doesn't like random emails."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Work is marginally better than being outside because of the completely unacceptable level of heat and humidity.

Still would rather be in Canada.

Dropped Dylan off at his new daycare today. DH did the really hard part (actually went in with him and said goodbye) and reported back that Dylan was pretty upset but very brave. He cried but didn't run after DH or try to block the door or anything. I just hope he's able to nap - the new place uses cots instead of cribs, which I'm guessing won't be an easy transition.
