And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Work is marginally better than being outside because of the completely unacceptable level of heat and humidity.

Still would rather be in Canada.

Dropped Dylan off at his new daycare today. DH did the really hard part (actually went in with him and said goodbye) and reported back that Dylan was pretty upset but very brave. He cried but didn't run after DH or try to block the door or anything. I just hope he's able to nap - the new place uses cots instead of cribs, which I'm guessing won't be an easy transition.

Is there any way to blame you for the email? Can this be generalized to asking your boss to check with you in the future before sending certain types of stuff? If the answer to both those things is "no" I would not bother. If the answer to the first is no, then question is how much are you willing risk annoying your boss for his own good?

I always forget about the Air & Water show until fighter jets are scrambling overhead as I'm waiting for the bus on the way to work.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

No. Sorry.

That's what I thought.

No--it was pretty clear I wasn't involved in sending it this morning.

It's her own good, not his. I may mention it, later. She's pretty good about such things.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So my father has bought his airline tickets. No, I never told him it was okay to visit. I didn't know there could be more incentive for me to get a job, but there it is...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This year's event drew 150 competitors from more than 20 countries including Belgium, Belarus and Sweden.

Does it come with the super villian features? Or do you need another $25 mill for trap doors, secret panels, ceiling mounted giant hooks, etc.
