Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

All my nails that were normal length or a teeny tiny growing out started ripping down on the sides, so I have new fakes glued on. This time I used Broadway instead of Kiss brand, is that what you use sara? They are a wee sparkly, but I think went on better.

I use broadway's medium french manicure- they have sizes that fit best: 0, 5, 5.5, 4 and 9. I haven't seen the sparkly ones, though I have seen the airbrushed craxy ones. I've used the short ones too, when I went to Nepal and Bhutan.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

happy new year everyone Maybe the new year be kind to all

I think I had my best new years eve ever. DH made a good dinner, we drank some red wine. DH and I watched the BBC production of P & P . the idea was to start around 6 and end around midnight. But we didn't start until 7 and because we have to talk so much about it , we finished it about 2.

My collards and black-eyed peas are awesome, by the way. I did them in the slow cooker with some canned tomatoes and a small hunk of kielbasa I had in the freezer, as well as a healthy amount of red pepper. Le nom.

I'm still not sold on the slow cooker, but at least this was a mostly successful trial run.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mmm. Grilled shrimp po boy. We peeled off from the rest of the group and went downtown for dinner.

Viewing has worked for me in the past. Not this time.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy New Year everybody!

I think going downtown for dinner sounds like a good plan, ita.

We are being lazy here. I've played lots of Rock Band and a little Wii Fit and now I want a console more than ever.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just checking in to say that while Perkins shared her home with me, she did not share her stomach ick. Sherlock was fun - I hope you get to see the whole thing next weekend.

My dad took us to see The 39 Steps tonight. It was wonderful. A cast of four took on a ton of personae and the Hitchcock references were plentiful. Any SF folks who have the opportunity should check it out.

I'm up because my son wanted to be up. My neck and head hurt so badly I kind of want to cry.
