We decided at the last minute to go out on our last night of vacation instead of cooking the groceries we'd bought at the beginning of the week. Oh well, hopefully the housekeeping staff can enjoy them instead. We went to a kitschy burgers-and-fried-shrimp type of place and it was perfect. I will really never understand why my extended family insists on eating at the overpriced "fine dining" restaurants out here when the only thing this island does well is fried shrimp in a basket and diner breakfasts. My burger was a well-cooked burger with a very acceptable pile of fries next to it. And it didn't cost $30.
Dylan is now totally fried because he didn't nap today, but hopefully that means he'll go to bed on time for the first time all week. My fingers are crossed we can keep the airport meltdowns tomorrow to a minimum.
I'm drinking ginger ale for the sake of drinking ginger ale, and not as a base for bourbon.

I sent off the email to Lip Service clothing suggesting that they give me items from an upcoming line of theirs, because everyone who has seen the photos has assumed that I collaborated with them on it, or that they designed it as a tribute to me. I wonder what their answer will be ...

Trip to the aquarium today with Noah and his friend Jake. Jake's on an 18 week course of intense steroids and he went from super edemic and bloated to normal to now 'roidy and tubby. Poor little dude.
Ate red velvet cake. Also ate huevos rancheros and then a spoonful of black eyed peas. We went to target then went and had buffalo wings. Watched hockey, the parade and a little of the rose bowl.
It's been a goodish day.

Also? You do more in a day than I do in a week, most of the time! I would have cashed in after breakfast and the aquarium, I bet.
It always sounds like a lot, Amy, but it isn't really. This morning was generally pretty mellow. The Aquarium is all about the kids running around and the sea lions were in amazingly fine form. Lots of playing both in the the underwater tanks and above ground. The tank at this aquarium is cool (for the seals and sea lions because you have an outdoor viewing area that has a sliver of underwater view. But you also can walk through a tunnel that slices through the tank and the seals/sea lions can swim around you, above you, and below you.
