Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Our vacation ends tomorrow morning, and Florida is telling is loud and clear to leave by being cold and rainy all day. The view from in here is still pretty gorgeous, though - the rain has let up briefly and there's this neat little fuzzy band of blue clouds merging with the horizon so you can't really tell where the ocean ends and the sky begins.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got "look up at the sky." I can totally do that!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

flea posted in LJ that, in a conversation about New Year's resolutions, Dillo said "I will have a poop!"

I said that I don't make resolutions, but I'll make an exception for that one. I think that's a fine resolution.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Question for those with slow cookers - Cash, I think you said you had a 1.5 quart one? How do you adapt recipes? I'm finding that most don't specify size of pot or number of servings and this thing fills up pretty fast.

Now tagless for your comfort.

brenda, I don't really follow recipes so I just eyeball ingredients on the smaller pot.

Shit. I just realized my van's license plates have been expired since the beginning of December. We got DH's truck renewal notice in the mail but he doesn't remember getting the van's info. Crap. Need to figure out what's wrong and renew those plates--online if possible.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I seem to have started TwentyTen with a stomach bug. I knew I wasn't quite right this morning, but I thought that was a little bit too much champagne and a lot too much junk food, and it did get better, but then I had to walk out of Sherlock Holmes in the middle of the movie.

At least I made it home before I got sick.

As Plei pointed out elsewhere, (I am) LAME.

Oh, Perkins! That's pretty sucky! Sorry you didn't get to finish the movie.
