If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Question for those with slow cookers - Cash, I think you said you had a 1.5 quart one? How do you adapt recipes? I'm finding that most don't specify size of pot or number of servings and this thing fills up pretty fast.

Now tagless for your comfort.

brenda, I don't really follow recipes so I just eyeball ingredients on the smaller pot.

Shit. I just realized my van's license plates have been expired since the beginning of December. We got DH's truck renewal notice in the mail but he doesn't remember getting the van's info. Crap. Need to figure out what's wrong and renew those plates--online if possible.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I seem to have started TwentyTen with a stomach bug. I knew I wasn't quite right this morning, but I thought that was a little bit too much champagne and a lot too much junk food, and it did get better, but then I had to walk out of Sherlock Holmes in the middle of the movie.

At least I made it home before I got sick.

As Plei pointed out elsewhere, (I am) LAME.

Oh, Perkins! That's pretty sucky! Sorry you didn't get to finish the movie.

I'm going to make Juliana go with me next weekend to try again.

I just hope I didn't get Suzi sick.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor you!

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Collards and black eyed peas simmering on the stove as we speak. Each with a nice hunk of smoked ham hock, of course.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I"m making my spicy chicken lemon noodle soup. Should help with my cold.

The Zmayhemi made an outing to Amoeba where I cashed in my gift certificate to get Half-Blood Prince and now Emmett has initiated a Harry Potter marathon starting with Sorcerer's Stone.

Matilda is blessedly zonked out for a nap.

JZ got dressed up for New Year's Day and looks like a sleek 50s Vogue model.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Grr. Battled with the guy's arm all flight. And he acted put upon. I did nothing other than reach straight forwards. And he stretched his legs into my space too.
