Heh. Mamie Gummer's real name is Mary, and Mamie IS the family nickname. Her siblings are Henry, Grace, and Louisa. All tasteful choices.

AND, Mamie IS named after Meryl's mother, Mary Willa. And Meryl's real name is Mary Louise.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tom Hanks? People might not love all of his acting, but they certainly love HIM. Bruce Sprinsgteen? Paul McCartney?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, then all is forgiven. I love you, Meryl!!

That's why I though Mamie was so odd, in this day and age.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Are there no men? Maybe George Clooney.

Clooney probably could do something to turn public opinion against him, but I have it on good authority from my grandmother that he's a lovely boy and comes from good people. (He's a Cincy local, so she knows.)

Tim Gunn?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hanks - docked for Forest Gump. Also had brief flirtation with self-seriousness.

Springsteen - Yes.

McCartney - docked for not being Lennon (cf., "Silly Love Songs") and bad divorce. However, his rep has been growing among music geeks.

Is Springsteen forgiven for leaving his wife for what's her name? I guess it's been long enough.

Tim Gunn?

Oooh, interesting call. He kind of needs a project away from Project Runway to establish himself elsewhere.

Within the narrow confines of his current notoriety - yes. But that could easily be toppled by a misstep elsewhere.

Yep, that's about his only ding. And even there he cashed in the generic model for a Jersey girl. He's even proven musically influential on a lot of younger groups like Arcade Fire and The Hold Steady.

Plus points for criticizing the NYPD in song, while still holding benefits to buy bulletproof vests for cops.
