I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, who farted?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ION, who farted?

He who smelt it dealt it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

If you've had the Do Not Disturb sign on your door your entire stay, do you still tip housekeeping per night?

It must be fun to live in Tim Burton's brain....

Mothera (a play on the name of Godzilla's nemesis, Mothra) perfectly captures this tension: a caricature of the archetypal housewife, rendered as a screeching demon slug. Her many tails connect her to her brood of gleeful tots; tentacles sprout brooms, TVs, vacuum cleaners, and other domestic paraphernalia; hair curlers double as missile launchers.

This is kind of hilarious: [link] And just goes to show, we still can't cope with winter weather in this neck of the woods. Even if you are an arctic explorer, you are at our mercy.

A bunch of cool photos of an old New Years Eve celebration: Miniseries #13: Celebrants

eta: One comment:

Rather a disturbing image in number 8 where, apparently, a young Marine NCO has wrestled an unruly woman to the floor only to have her attempt to lift his wallet. Ah, the Marines! Always looking out for our welfare.

Ann, that's a ferret.

There was ice in Western Fairfax this morning. More slushy on the streets, but it took me several minutes to get the ice off the windshield.

And yet traffic was so light, I still made it to work on time.
