Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

can friends/people in my office please stop giving me dead dog books?

Do they keep giving you Sounder? What's the thought process behind that?

Our wings are not tired.

Where the Red Fern Grows?

Just thinking about it makes me cry.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jilli, go for it. Clovis would approve.

Oh, that was a PERFECT Calvin & Hobbes story. Just perfect.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I did not cry. I suspect my heart is three sizes too small today.

Mine too! YAY GRINCHNESS

I just had someone I don't think I know comment in my DW that it made her cry.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Progressive is offering me the cheapest quote, but they're underwritten by Homesite, and I'm seeing a lot of complaints about them.

Why is being an adult so difficult?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Because if it were easy kids would do it.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've had Progressive for my auto insurance for several years and did have their renters insurance last year until it lapsed and I didn't bother renewing it. I probably should contact them and get myself insured again.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

you and I must make a pact

stuck in my head b/c of this story..

A family that adopted an older boy (I think a 10 yo) from Ethiopia is traveling back in a few months to get an 11 yo. The boys were in the same orphanage (not the orphanage mac was in, one run by Ethiopian nuns that my agency works with to place older kids) and were best friends. The boys made a pact that if one was adopted and if he felt that the family was a good family, he would try to convince them to go adopt the other one. Almost a year has gone by and the adopted boy only recently told his family about the pact, he has deemed them a good family.

You know what freaks me out? Trusting the mortgage holder to pay my insurance and taxes. It unnerves me to get bills that I am to ignore.
