Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Omni folded because we didn't need to read about the future any more -- we're living in it.

That's why SF is dead too.

I craved and bought pink handwraps for krav only to discover that they were not as long as the black or red ones. And the pink boxing gloves don't come in as heavy weights as the black ones.

Tossers.

That's a great picture, tommy. I'm ganking for my bestof site.

And I may have to take that Newsradio deal.

I have discovered that I'm missing two of my Wonderfalls discs. I can guess where one is, but two means I really need to just pony up and replace the set.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The vet's office called with test results (negative), and I thought to ask about the teeth cleaning the vet had recommended. It's going to be as much as $400 over two visits! Yikes. I am disinclined to spend the money and do the schleping right now, but this summer is the Big Trip to Turkey and Greece, so I'm going to be watching money later, too! What to do, what to do.

Hmm. I wonder if anyone would pay him for napping. He's awfully good at that.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

And the bank thing was due to a computer glitch. Pity. Dad would have loved the idea of coming back as ZombieDad, debit card in hand. Anyway, it's resolved, with no cost to me except for a trip to the local branch. And they found that the problem had occurred before, but I didn't notice because of various and sundry preoccupations. So there's an unexpected $100 going back into the estate account. Well worth 10 minutes of driving and 15 minutes sitting in a bank lobby.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Jesse, check with your vet and see if they're going to have any deals in February or March. My vet has deals for Dental Health Care month(s) (also because those are the two deadest months for the office), and they give 10-20% off of any dental work. I'm thinking about taking Amarna back in for another cleaning (she had hers done in 2007 for about $275) because the vet is getting rather vocal about the level of gunk she has on her teeth.

hip deep in pie

I think I paid $800 for Clio's extractions, and a cleaning. I was so pissed because that cat has been eating T/D (Tartar control) food since she was a kitten. It made me a little more skeptical of the need to clean a cat's teeth though. Clio's weren't that bad, tartarwise, because of the food, and yet she had already lost two teeth and needed another two pulled. She's just got bad teeth.

I think my vet charges $100. Mister Kitty is the one who really needs it, but he's too old.

I occasionally get calls for my late father from people trying to sell business services. I always tell them he can't be reached by telephone, and they need to try an entirely different Medium.

Our wings are not tired.

I have never had any of my pets' teeth professionally cleaned and none of them have ever, ever had any teeth/jaw/whatever problems. And I take really good care of my pets.
