Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Which is great in the winter and not so great come July.

Hee. I skimmed the quote text and thought you were talking about flying in jumpsuits. I was trying to work out why July jumpsuits would be okay.

I am sitting and doing nothing and I really need not to be but I can't seem to shake it.

Actually what I want to do is come see you and then go over to the Rose Bowl parade on New Years. Odds are better that I'll continue to sit here and do nothing.

hip deep in pie

My plan is NSM an austerity budget, but to do some regular retirement savings which I stopped when I bought my house. But pretty much, the same thing.

Oooh DO IT! But instead of seeing the parade, it's more fun to go to the float viewing at the end of the parade where you get to get up close and personal with the floats.

OK, Sue, you just reminded me I'm still contributing to my retirement at a pretty high rate and if I need to, I could decrease it. I forget it is there, since I don't see it in my bank (and I check my paystubs maybe a couple times a year.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Pretty soon it'll be a Con Air-type setup.

Those won't take a plane down, though, now that the cockpit doors are lockable and made of granite/bulletproof-ium/whatever. If you can't get through to the flight crew, you can't kill them and down the plane.

If all you have back in coach is a fountain pen, you can't blow shit up, so you might as well play sudoku with it.

Words to live by.

Oooh DO IT!

I would love to. And yeah, I would be way more into the floats themselves than the OMGPEOPLE of the parade.

But I have this elaborate television watching plan for NYD. First, sleeping in, because we'll have some of the kids over for NYE, which I did by accident. Then watching the parade. Then the NHL Winter Classic. Then the Rose Bowl itself, go buckeyes. So I have to get any productivity done before that day, because I go back to work the day after. Hee.

I am so amped about the Winter Classic at Fenway. There's just something so fun and special about hockey played outdoors. I get all childhood nostalgic about skating on the pond, and I never played hockey. But somehow, it's just how it should be.
