Yeah, we had beautiful springlike weather in the 80s here in July, rather than the usual sauna climate for the whole summer. And even August hasn't been as brutal as usual, we'd been cracking 105° the past few years and I don't think it's gotten past 94° since early-July.
It's finally getting warm enough up here that we can take the kids swimming. Tomorrow is supposed to be hot and steamy (94) so I want to go to the beach.
Its actually hot here for once.
ION, someone at Trader Joe's has clearly been lurking here since they had frozen cherry clafoutis and a big display of prosecco and peach nectar. (I skipped the peach since I have a lot of frozen mangoes, but succumbed to the other two.)

Still restless. After potting the stuff from Home Depot, walked over to the hardware store (yes, I see the irony) and picked up a few more things and another plant. Kinda love walking as much as I can. One of the things I did every day while on the trip was a long solo walk, on top of all the treks. I'm gonna try walking over to the lake tomorrow.
