Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, why the Boeing 787 is so awesome: The Innovative 787 Carries Boeing, And Aviation, Ahead

Airbus is designing an aircraft to compete with the 787, but despite the advantage of a much later start, it will be less advanced.

eta:

...

As much as the 787 Dreamliner looks like the jet that carried you on that cramped, uncomfortable flight last month, almost everything about it is new. From the extensive use of composite materials and advanced aerodynamics to its fuel-efficient Rolls Royce engines and all-electric systems, Boeing is betting the 787 will be the plane to usher in a cleaner, greener future for the airline business.

Boeing claims the 787 is 20 percent more fuel-efficient than comparably sized jets. With fuel being airlines’ number one cost after payroll, Boeing’s plan to build a thriftier airplane came at just the right time, said analyst Richard Aboulafia of the Teal Group.

“You get one shot a decade to launch an all-new product, and in terms of what customers were looking for, they got it right,” he says. “They designed something that is just what airlines want for their premium customers, an efficient airplane for point-to-point international routes.”

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

ION, I think I need a bunch of this fabric to make a skirt out of.

Yeah you do.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I have wild dreams of sweet-talking Pete into creating a design for fabric that I can upload to Spoonflower.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Still, I'm a little unnerved by the "show you off to them" phrasing. It just seemed like a kind of odd comment. But then, this is the same co-worker who said he had been thinking of asking me if I dressed this way because I lost a bet. So, not much with the social skills.

It would have sounded much better if he said, "I'd like to introduce them to you." But yeah, seriously lacking social skills.

Bummed about Sarandon and Robbins.

Why is it that I had an easier time training a hyperactive cocker spaniel to flip a treat off his nose than I have convincing my three year old to wait two minutes for a cup of fucking chocolate milk.

OK, I'm outa' work. As in leaving. For the day.

I have a hankering for teriyaki squid, so I'm off to downtown Evanston....

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Speaking of Hugh Jackman (several letters ago) I think he is awesome in this: [link]

But mostly I think-- AWESOME COSTUME CHANGE. Like COmplete change and go up a staircase in a minute!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tonight we are off with our houseguest to our annual dinner at Damon's, the tiki steakhouse we adore. Tomorrow, the DH's bro and his sister and her husband and their three dogs are arriving to spend some time with us. That adds up to the two of us and four houseguests and five dogs and two cats (oh, and one bathroom)for two exciting nights.

I am worried about crowding and dog kerfuffles, but I love them all, so I am hoping it will be like a big sleepover.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Dinner was homemade chicken pot pie. It was warm and comforting.

OK, so my dad's grazing habits and the fact he leaves debris in his wake drives me crazy even not in my own house. Good to know!

Need to get offline, dinner prep.

Kids cute. Exhausting. Had about 50032311345 rounds of figuring out the difference between birthday and xmas eve (none) and xmas day and which presents will be opened when. OY.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I want to go to a tiki steakhouse. Instead I'm having a Morningstar chicken patty and frozen veggies (edamame, blackbeans and peapods - frozen veggies have moved way beyond cali blend recently, thank god).

But I got most of my xmas shopping done, have at least vague plans for meals the next few days, and have the evening to myself before family descends tomorrow. Could be worse.
