We just got the news! We are being let out a noon. And I have a ride home from a woman who works on my floor and is a neighbor.

Today really needs to be a vacation day so I can get stuff done. I got to work a half hour late, received a "previous balance" bill from the local hospital out of the blue with no indication of what it's for and will need to clear that up, discovered I have an overdue movie I need to return to the library while it's still open, have to hit the bank, and as soon as work is over I have to run home and pick up presents for my best friend's family (4 hour round trip to deliver them).
My twin sister did miscarry yesterday. But she's coping well and has talked out a plan with her doctor. I hope they can do something to prevent these early miscarriages. The bright side is that she is healthy AND conceiving on her own without assistance so if they can figure out what's going wrong in the early stages, they might be able to get her through it.
Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts and advice.
This book looks like fun: Grimmer Tales: A Wicked Collection of Happily Never After Stories
A hilarious collection of upended fairy tales that will recast your classic family favorites in an all-wrong light
Remember those beloved fairy tales you read as a child? Where the damsel in distress is rescued by the handsome prince and then they all live happily ever after? Well Grimmer Tales is just like that. Minus the happy and the ever after!
In these pages you'll find classic tales twisted, tweaked, and riddled with morbid humor. Little Boy Blue blows his brains out, Pinocchio impales his dentist when asked if he's been flossing and Rapunzel's head comes off at its stem when her prince charming climbs the tower.
Get ready for your nostalgia-o-meter to flicker enthusiastically while shivers course up your spine at the all-wrong acts committed by the heroes and heroines of yesteryear.
Cash, I'm so sorry. I'm glad she's doing okay and has a supportive doctor.
I'm at work, and I don't wanna be here!!
Me neither! I'm hoping my boss gives me the wink-wink-nudge-nudge you can go home early on the DL, but I'm not counting on it.
Sorry about your sister, Cash.
Oh, Cash, I'm so sorry for your sister and her family.
I hope the doctor can figure it out.
Cash, I am so sorry for your sister. I wish her well in solving this problem.
Cash, that's horrible. I hope they can plan something from here on in.
