"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Was GC's birthday yesterday also? Or am I misremembering? (entirely conceivable). What an awesome bday present.

I can't believe how cold and blustery yesterday was and now I'm all snug and warm again.

I have so much sewing to do. I'm going to make a toddler sized apron for Noah since he loves to "cook" with mom. But I have to get some bias tape.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just realized that 48 hours from now, I will be on my flight to Tucson.

I should maybe do some laundry tonight.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I seem to be trying to have it both ways, in terms of being a grown up/being my parents' child. The choir apparently has snacks before the Christmas Eve service, and they asked me to sign up to bring something. I signed up for veggies, on the assumption that there will be leftover crudite from the family Christmas gathering that afternoon that I can mooch. In addition to buying my own stuff, let me clarify.

Slept like crap last night but I'm up, at work, and wearing fairly decent clothes. Though I don't typically wear my pirate shirt to work (red shirt, small skull and crossbones crest). Oh well.

Tonight is clean, pack, sleep, up at 4:30 to shower, finalize packing and be ready for the shuttle at 5:30. Oh, and hoping there is minimal to no snow overnight.

Has anyone gotten their eyebrows threaded, instead of waxed?

How do the two compare?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Welcome, Shane!

I'm still achey today, and cranky because of it. I want my range of unimpeded motion back, or at least a good story.

I dunno, it's okay for me to be reticent about the decade, but isn't Rich going to be very lonely when he does his best of next year?

I found threading to take way too damned long. I have an allergic reaction to wax above my eyebrows and have to have that plucked. Even with that the wax/plucking takes a shorter amount of time. I didn't see the advantage.

Didn't he say he probably won't bother next year, either?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Better night last night, I am just residually mad at life. Mac did not get himself to sleep and came to my room at 10pm and ended up sleeping with me. He has refused to let me lay down with him or to come lay down with me for at least 3 weeks now, it is one of the fastest ways for him to re-connect and feel safe, so I am glad he did it last night. 8 hours of sleep would normally do me good, but with him and the two cats I was awake over and over again. He probably only got 6-7 hours of sleep on Sunday, so the 8 solid hours will be good for him, but he should really be getting 9+. Still, an improvement.

Another half empty department at work. The goal is two piles of paper today, getting to the PO and getting a $10 gift for mac's afterschool stupid required secret santa thing.
