Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What running has brought me: sport beans (jelly beans) and margarita-flavored clif shot bloks (salty gummies). I recommend them for snacking too!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

In an effort to avoid opening the box of Candy cane jo jos I have in my kitchen, I've been eating random other things I have in my apartment right now. Because I am going out of town soon, the pickings are somewhat slim, and it turns out that light string cheese and edamame really don't go together all that well.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My tree is finally up and all my ornaments are on! I just pitched out all my filler cheap-and-tacky-looking balls that were just on the tree to fill up the holes and took forever to put on and take off. I decided to just leave the backside of the tree, the part that faces the balcony door, mostly blank and put all my nice ornaments on the part that I look at. I even managed to get the ribbon wrapped around it for garland.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go tree shopping the week after Christmas to finally get a prelit tree that's a bit smaller and doesn't take over an entire side of the living room. If I can get one for under $50, I'll be happy. I can also use a tree skirt, since the one my sister sent me years ago is sized for a 3- or 4-foot tree, and mine is 6 feet and really wide. Even the replacement tree won't be small enough for that tree skirt.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Work is open, but I am staying home and recuperating.

I am awake AND at home. I have gift wrapping to do. YAY gifts! But I also want to go to yoga (SUPER YAY YOGA!) and pack clothes because we are headed to San Diego for a night tomorrow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In theory, I am working today. Yeah, we'll see....

Was GC's birthday yesterday also? Or am I misremembering? (entirely conceivable). What an awesome bday present.

I can't believe how cold and blustery yesterday was and now I'm all snug and warm again.

I have so much sewing to do. I'm going to make a toddler sized apron for Noah since he loves to "cook" with mom. But I have to get some bias tape.

I just realized that 48 hours from now, I will be on my flight to Tucson.

I should maybe do some laundry tonight.
