Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

But I`m happy anyway because I am drinking herb tea in front of the fire. And I restacked the firewood today so my deck rack is full and my back is tired. And I have cookies my mom sent me and I got $100 from my part-time job boss and I`m on winter break! Whoo.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My parents have one my grandfather carved, which is beautiful, along with one made of that yarn-in-plastic-grid stuff, which is the moving one -- the little Jesus doll fits right up inside Mary!

French Toast Warning: ORANGE.

Hilarious! And my mother said, out of the blue, "Tom Champion hasn't called!" I was like, I KNOW WHO THAT IS FROM THE INTERNETS.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

My parents have one my grandfather carved

I switched the "one" and "my" on first reading and was slightly boggled.

Mmm.... french toast with a little orange zest (not what nora meant, but still a yummy thought).

My 2 week headache has indeed persisted. this was not made better by the fact that we took Noah and a friend (J who is 20 months) to the aquarium today. Noah outzinged J in terms of hour for hour running. This is perhaps why my fry guy is so little? There was a lot of carrying and running and general stress. Tonight (J stayed with us from 7:30 until 6:00) there was a screaming contest in the car. Color me unthrilled.

For those of you who haven't seen on FB, Grace represented the pink gingham junta AND she loves to dance.

It's a fuckload of snow. I'm thinking of cabbing it to BWI Monday. More expensive, but... means another trip to Giant where I buy a carrot so I can get cash for the cab.
