But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

Now tagless for your comfort.

We got here with his playdate and the friend made a comment that they already have presents under their tree ( we don't b/c mac FREAKS out and basically cannot handle the idea of presents coming in the future, must less actually see them and have to wait).

Someone on my Twitter feed was angry that her three year old had opened her presents under their tree. Why would you tempt a three year old with presents under the Christmas tree TWO WEEKS before Christmas? I sent her link to the marshmallow experiment. We still have no gifts under our tree because I KNOW Owen would have them all opened.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This sounds so COMPLETELY AWESOME - I really hope NASA bites:

Proposal to send "boat" to explore Titan's seas:

The concept will be suggested to the US space agency for one of its future mission opportunities that will test a novel power system.

It would be the first exploration of a planetary sea beyond Earth.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wow, an active male rugby player came out. That takes serious stones.

We had a rugby league player come out in the 90s, Ian Roberts [link] Possibly against expectations, the rugby league fraternity was pretty supportive. He finished his career playing in North Queensland, which is not known for progressive social views. I think he did a great deal of good in that regard.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'd like to see someone come out in a sport with a large black contingent.

hip deep in pie

Watching a retelling of Much Ado About Nothing with Damian Lewis ans Sarah Parrish ans Billie Piper. I can't believe this has been sitting on my Apple TV all this time.

I really want to see those.

I'm at my parent's for the holidays. I tried listening to an audiobook of A Confederacy of Dunces on the bus, but I kept falling asleep and drifint in and out of the plot. I listened to almost 5 hours, but probably only heard 90 minutes.

By the time the snowpocalypse reaches here, were supposedly only getting trace amounts of snow, then rain. I did not bring footwear for a green Xmas.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ugh, spent the afternoon shopping for a replacement gift for best friend's wife since my order from Signals that allegedly shipped on 12/3 hasn't arrived yet. Or more accurately, spent the afternoon driving around the mall parking lot looking for a space, as the actual shopping part probably took less than 45 minutes once I made the trek in from Outer Mongolia. If I have to do this again for my family drawing gift next week my new hobby will become giving bad word of mouth on every consumer review website I can turn up on the internets.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'd like to see someone come out in a sport with a large black contingent.

Dennis Rodman in drag doesn't count, I guess.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

After leaving my cookies out on the counter all day, I just ate one with a broken leg, and it's pretty good! And they are cute enough. So that's good. At my parents, I frosted cupcakes and chopped some stuff, and then we watched half of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (I typed "Several" the first time, which would have maybe been a funnier movie), and decorated the tree. Nice! Now I just have to remember to bring everything over tomorrow.

Still no snow here.
