I want to plug in the christmas lights on the balcony, but even if I could open the door without spilling a foot of snow into the house, the lights themselves are under another foot and a half of snow.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
They'd be pretty! I saw a neat photo online somewhere of snow covered bushes with lights.

I have never seen a child have more fun in dusting of snow. 10 mon walk to subway, then a 25 min walk from train to his friends house and then he and just walked back to the train. He thinks scooping up handfuls of snow and tossing it my head is the best game ever. I am sweaty yuck underneath all these layers. Hurry up train I wanna get home.
I am soooo very behind here. No more free time.
msbelle, you're moving?
Belated happy birthdays to all I have missed!

In our house you have to believe if you want a stocking. And Santa presents. Don't care if it is "wink-wink" or not. Each Christmas morning, the kids are awakened (or signaled that they can emerge from their rooms) by the sound of Santa's sleigh bells.
With us being away from home this year, the kids are getting mini stockings and I'm considering packing the bells with me, just to keep up tradition.
You betta recognissssssssse.

Watching a retelling of Much Ado About Nothing with Damian Lewis ans Sarah Parrish ans Billie Piper. I can't believe this has been sitting on my Apple TV all this time.
I liked those retellings.
Lazy, lazy Saturday today. I actually woke up at quarter to six, fed the cat, took my meds, made tea and toast, played on the internet and then went back to bed and slept 'til 11 something.
