That's one my mother didn't lose when she moved to the States! Dropped the U, switched to checks, but SNEAKY SNEAKY things like spelt are *still there*. (She still doubles her Ls, too. Which I did until the Firefox spellchecker beat me out of it. I mean, I still type them that way, but then I change it to remove the red squiggle.)

Not really -- I bet you aren't emailing people to ask them to send an email for you because you're about to be on vacation. Another thing I bet you aren't doing is sending an email and calling to follow up on it literally THREE MINUTES LATER. I was actually working on something else in those three minutes! FFS.
Who the hell is Piers Morgan? I'm pre-disposed against him because of Piers Anthony, and I don't feel like being fair. I am so out of reality touch. Which isn't the same as being out of touch with reality, I hope.
TV told me that Gordon Ramsay had the biggest reality show on US TV. That can't be right, can it? I'd always assumed American Idol sat atop that heap. Of course, TV went on to throw flour on Gordon and chase him around the studio in the funniest Jonathan Ross interview I've ever seen, so I lean towards believing it just because.
Isn't spelt one of those wacky grains like quinoa?

Yeah, that can't be right, when AI is the biggest show on television. Maybe that's currently? Also I think the British newspapers are wrong about Piers Morgan being a star here; I think his fame is limited to judging a summer reality show. That's like saying Nigel Lythgoe or Cat Deeley are big stars here. They're not to the people to who don't watch their shows.
I pay all my bills online including my rent. It's lovely. I write maybe 4 checks a year.
