Huh, the house passed a financial reform bill and I didn't even know about it. I feel out of touch. I wonder if it's me or if it just isn't much press. Every Republican voted against it, naturally.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There's just not a lot of stuff you can buy for 95-year old women, you know?

Yes I do! Which reminds me I should order flowers for my grandmother. I now figure I've done it long enough that it's a tradition....

Marketing question: If I say I have more than 30 years of experience, do you think "Wow, she's qualified" or "Wow, she's old"?

It would depend. For a senior enough position, it would be a plus, but I do think it's a little iffy -- if the work is stuff that's changed a lot with technology or anything, especially. I'd think.

Well, _I_ think qualified, but I think other people would think "old" (not that you are, they would just think that). I would say something like 15+ years. Which is also true, they just don't start doing the math immediately.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

they would not allow the exception.

Ooh, that sucks. Sorry about that - missing a deadline for something like that is totally something I would do....

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Shit, I'm sorry, msbelle. I have to remember to add baby to my insurance within 31 days of his birth or I have to wait until next year's open enrollment (November). It has been causing me a bit of stress as I hope I don't forget.

Yeah, it's a little weird -- saying 30+ years on paper sounds like a LOT, but looking at someone in their 50s just looks like an experienced person.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sorry, msbelle.
